St. Nicks’ Workforce Development division, launched in 1986, serves almost 2,000 unemployed and underemployed job seekers each year, providing them with the tools they need to secure stable employment, gain access to a career ladder, and achieve long-term financial success.
Our programs benefit a broad range of customers, including students who have not completed high school; applicants seeking entry-level career opportunities; low-income workers seeking to change careers; and those who through no fault of their own have found themselves unemployed after years in a career and need to retrain.
Our offerings include:
Adult Education– including High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) – all including computer literacy
Skills Training-- preparing participants for careers in growing sectors of the economy, including Environmental Remediation, the EPA Environmental Industry, and Commercial Driving
First Job – providing the training and support needed to successfully enter the world of work
Building Assets– offering a range of services that support self-sufficiency and ensure family stability while building a career
